Description:
Axon, a global leader in public safety technology and cloud solutions, is seeking a Business Development - Customer Relations Director to join its international team. This high-impact leadership role will focus on building strong relationships with senior officials in international police services and expanding Axon’s market presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The position is remote but will require extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across global regions.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to public safety leaders, showcasing how Axon’s ecosystem of cloud-based solutions and devices can drive innovation, operational effectiveness, and improved safety outcomes. You will lead strategic engagement initiatives, manage complex sales processes, and represent Axon at major industry events and forums.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute high-level engagement strategies targeting senior leaders within international law enforcement agencies.
Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to promote Axon’s solutions and services.
Partner with internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Product Development to drive alignment and seamless execution of customer engagement initiatives.
Act as a connector between customers and Axon’s European team, ensuring effective communication, quoting, and process management.
Represent Axon at industry events, conferences, and public forums to demonstrate thought leadership in law enforcement technology.
Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes to adapt strategies and identify growth opportunities.
Track and report on customer engagement metrics, milestones, and outcomes to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
Proven experience in sales operations and strategy with strong exposure to enterprise technology, SaaS, or public sector-focused solutions.
Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage and support complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and quoting processes.
Strong experience working cross-functionally with sales, finance, legal, and delivery teams.
Background working with system integrators or channel partners is highly desirable.
Experience engaging with European Public Safety Executives or EuroCop is strongly preferred.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment.
