As the Society for Experiential Design (SEGD) - Designers of Experience, connecting people to place), looks forward to its next 50 years following its golden anniversary in Summer 2023, we are actively searching for a full-time Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the sales, partnerships, and sponsorships that fuel our organization's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Crafting and executing innovative revenue programs to bolster SEGD’s conferences, events, website, and publications.
- Managing a sales pipeline to meet annual revenue goals that make up approximately a third of the organization's total revenue.
- Uncovering and developing new business opportunities to promote SEGD's growth and visibility.
- Building and sustaining strategic partnerships with vital stakeholders in the experience design industry, including press outlets, industry associations, and conferences.
- Nurturing enduring relationships with sponsors and supporters, providing them with insights and comprehensive campaigns that leverage SEGD’s platforms and programs.
- Designing and executing comprehensive, tailored annual campaigns for SEGD Partners, from negotiating agreements to ensuring seamless execution throughout the year.
- Developing inventive sponsorship strategies that align with our programming and revenue goals, managing all sponsorship and event prospectuses, and overseeing the implementation of sponsorships.
- Leading the monetization strategy for our newly implemented website and robust advertising server, including posting ad materials and monitoring analytics.
- Writing and producing the annual Media Planner, annual Exhibit and Sponsorship Prospectus, website content, and email campaigns to support revenue generation.
