Business Development Manager

 

Description:

Objectives:

  • Provide technical and commercial support to the existing customer base in the Liquid, Beverage and Sugar Refining treatment market to achieve company revenue and operating income goals.
  • Support the development and implementation of the product marketing plan:
    • Development and distribution of marketing communications
    • Trade Show plan and participation
    • Online and traditional target marketing activities
  • Develop new customers/distributors in target territories/global regions to increase commercial sales:
    • Respond to Technical Inquiries, support performance estimations and prepare commercial quotations as necessary.
    • Provide technical support for current and planned customer pilot testing programs.
  • Support Sales and Operations planning activities, providing sales demand forecasting for existing and potential customers.
  • Develop white papers/case studies associated with existing customer installations and new customer evaluations to support marketing efforts.
  • Maintain customer database of existing and prospective sugar market customers.

 

Travel: 40-50% Travel is expected

 

Education and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (preferably Chemical engineering or Chemistry) or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of sales and marketing experience. Direct sales experience in liquid sugar, beverage and sugar refining industry a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of specialty adsorbents and sugar market a plus.
  • Chemical/Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
