Business Development Senior Specialist

 

Description:

As a member of the Business Suite Enterprise Commercial Office, you are a core member to support strategic initiatives around Artificial Intelligence, Business Date Cloud, and Private Cloud. You will challenge the status quo in analyzing existing constructs, innovating them with improvements, and with collaboration with counterparts in pre-sales, delivery, GTM, and commercial finance find compliant methods for achieving and supporting SAP strategy around accelerating Business Suite adoption in both direct and indirect channels.

Operational support includes but are not limited to: Go-to-Market, Sales Planning, Deal Execution, Forecasting, Performance Management, and defined Operations Services.

Trusted Advisor
 

  • Deliver as a trusted advisor and partner to the AI and BDC Cloud businesses with respective credibility and influence.
  • Understand core customer requirements and enable decision-making.
     

Projects & Programs
 

  • Identify, lead, and coordinate the execution of projects designed to address and improve operational bottlenecks, gaps, or deficiencies. - Take charge and motivate project contributors to jointly execute priority programs within the scope and against the target.
  • Manage expectations proactively and transparently for strong project/program execution and completion.
  • Leverage extended knowledge and networks to drive higher impact.
     

Focus/ Specification

Application, Data, Reporting
 

  • Design, blueprint, and build sales supporting infrastructure (systems, tools, or applications).
  • Provide system and/or user support and enablement through documentation, training, hands-on support, etc
  • Manage aspects of the deployment and maintenance of related infrastructure incl. governance and documentation.
  • Ensure data stewardship - including defining the right strategy and how to enable simple execution.
  • Reporting - simplify and optimize reports or related infrastructure. Analyze and interpret data at advanced levels to optimize decision-making.
     

Internal Customer-facing Sales Support
 

  • Optimize customer engagement through best practice, insight, and enablement
  • Position yourself as a content/process expert for related hands-on sales support including but not limited to Deal Structuring
     

Enablement & Knowledge Management
 

  • Understand the dimensions of the RISE Private Cloud business: Analyze business requirements and help define the practices and key deliverables for sales
  • Take leading roles to rollout and implement strategy, solution, innovation, and other business topics to various audiences.
  • Scale Deployment: Collaborate closely with the RISE Private Cloud Business Partners to create the appropriate milestones for deployment, adoption, and enablement. Maintain clear insights on how process adoption is progressing.
     

Critical Components Of The Role
 

  • Strong ability to collaborate with counterparts in pre-sales, delivery, GTM, and commercial finance
  • Collaborating across geographies and board areas to identify gaps in deal structures to support successful deal closure
  • Sound working knowledge of SAP cloud strategy with a focus on RISE Private Cloud strategy
  • Assessing the impact of deal changes on the related business area; taking corrective action as needed
     

Experience Required
 

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in either deal support, commercial finance, revenue recognition, controlling, or a related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or similar.
