Description:
We’re hiring a results-driven Business Development Specialist to open doors, build pipeline, and convert qualified opportunities into purchase orders. You’ll own outbound prospecting, discovery, quoting, and early account management, collaborating closely with our founder and factories to deliver on-time, on-spec solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect & qualify: Build target lists (distributors, retailers, school districts, gift/merch buyers); run outbound via email, LinkedIn, and calls; book discovery meetings.
- Own the first mile of sales: Lead needs discovery, gather specs (MOQ, materials, compliance, timelines), coordinate sampling, and prepare quotes.
- Channel development: Grow relationships within PPAI/ASI networks and vendor portals (e.g., HALO, distributor groups); support vendor onboarding requirements (W-9, COI, certifications).
- Pipeline management: Maintain CRM hygiene, forecast accurately, and drive opportunities from lead → sample/RFQ → PO.
- Cross-border coordination: Liaise with factories on feasibility, lead times, and costings; track pre-production samples and approvals.
- Market intelligence: Monitor RFQs/RFPs, seasonal trends, and competitor offerings; package insights into simple go-to-market plays.
- Collateral & proposals: Draft capability one-pagers, spec sheets, and quote templates tailored to buyer requirements.
What You’ll Bring
- 1–3+ years in B2B business development, sales, or account growth (promotional products, stationery, packaging, or consumer goods preferred).
- Proven success with cold outreach and booking meetings; disciplined follow-up.
- Clear, professional written and verbal English; confident on Zoom/Google Meet.
- Comfortable working U.S. buyer hours for meetings and China factory updates as needed.
- Tools: Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, a modern CRM (HubSpot/Airtable/Close), and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
