PCM is looking for a community focused sales professional to join our Business Development team. In this role you will contribute to the growth of Professional Case Management patient population in our Amarillo TX region. You will work collaboratively with local staff such as Regional Directors, Nurse Administrators and the Community Outreach Vice President. This candidate must have healthcare sales experience, preferably in HomeHealth or something similar. This candidate must also live in the Amarillo TX area!!!
Essential Functions/Areas Of Accountability
- Create and maintain relationships through regular visits with local hospitals and physician offices, with direct contact with Discharge Planners, Social Workers, and other clinical staff.
- Both individually and as part of a team, schedule and participate in regular educational in-service trainings, community visits, luncheons, town and union hall meetings, and marketing events.
- Generate client referrals and track the lifecycle of referrals in company database.
- Maintain, replenish and distribute printed collateral and other marketing materials at primary referral source locations.
- Use phone contact lists and company database tools to proactively contact potential clients and initiate possible client referrals.
- Acting independently and collaboratively, answer client community inquiries regarding Company’s in-home nursing services available, as well as conduct medical outreach education to doctors’ offices, hospitals, senior groups and others.
- In consultation with local PCM Case Managers and VP of Community Outreach, conduct periodic visits to existing PCM clients to welcome them to service and build productive relationships as ongoing referral sources for new clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or comparable relevant experience
- Sales experience required, including ability to cultivate professional referral relationships
- Significant local and regional travel required.
- Hospice, outreach, rehab, long-term acute care or pharmaceutical sales experience helpful
- Knowledge of medical terminology and/or general medical background helpful
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office products
- Compassionate and mission driven, able to empathize with potential clients with severe health needs, yet effectively converting them into referrals
- Licensed driver with clean driving record and insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.
