Business Development Specialist

 

Description:

We are seeking a motivated, self-starting Business Development Specialist who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced sales environment. As a contract-based team member, you will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with potential clients, and closing deals for our desk-sharing software. Compensation is based on a percentage of the value of each successfully signed contract as well as potential equity in the company, making this role ideal for someone with a strong sales acumen who is looking to directly benefit from their success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Research, identify, and target potential customers in the corporate and enterprise sectors who would benefit from our desk-sharing solutions.
  • Sales Outreach: Initiate contact with prospects via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels, presenting the value of our software and scheduling meetings or demos.
  • Client Presentations & Demos: Conduct personalized product demos, addressing client needs and pain points, and showcasing how our solution can optimize their office space management.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and close deals by preparing and sending proposals, following up with decision-makers, and closing contracts to achieve sales targets.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction, encourage renewals, and upsell additional features or services.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to continuously refine sales strategies.
  • Sales Reporting: Track sales progress and report regularly on pipeline activities, conversion rates, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in the B2B SaaS or technology space.
  • Knowledge of desk-sharing, workplace optimization, or office management solutions is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, managing your own time and schedule.
  • Comfortable with digital communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack) and familiar with sales automation software.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical features and translate them into customer benefits.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple leads simultaneously.
