Business Relationship Manager

Description:

The Business Relationship Manager provides operational support for strategic distribution partners. Based in Des Moines (IA), Hartford (CT), or Batesville (IN) the candidate will foster a strong partnership with distribution partners while working closely with internal teams to provide proactive operational support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accountability, collaboration, strong relationship skills and have a drive to excel.

The Business Relationship Manager is responsible for driving implementation, management, monitoring and improvement of a firm's experience by:

• Educating internal partners on firm guidelines, process flows and platform optimization
• Onboarding of new firms and maintenance of ongoing activity
• Proactively managing relationships through data analysis and reporting
• Facilitating research for complex business problems to influence solutions
• Internally aligning firm strategic priorities, projects and tactical requests
• Driving firm adoption of our digital investments
• Executing annual and ad-hoc firm meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, life insurance designation a plus
• Five (5+) or more years of progressive professional relationship management experience and Five (5+) or more years of operational or sales leadership experience in the insurance or financial services industry
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
• Organized and detail-oriented, capable of self-managing and multitasking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Occasional travel required
