Description:
At Orion, we are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to assist the Business Architects on key initiatives, mapping the current and future state of business processes, people and technology, and hitting project milestones through multiple phases. This opportunity would drive the day-to-day deliverables for defensible deletion, partner projects with Data Security, Metric builds, and process documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build data visualizations to support projects and track ILM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Gathers information from business units and translates them to current work processes within data security and governance tools (key foundational artifacts for build or modification of Data Policy, standards, procedures, ontology maps, and data models).
- Reconstructing project provenance following a system upgrade and maturing our tracking to ensure every piece of data shared with external partners (HIEs, Research, etc.) is fully governed, authorized, and documented.
- Create a "traceability matrix" that links a signed contract ID to a ServiceNow Project ID and a specific technical interface endpoint.
- Maps and enhances existing business processes/functions and recommends changes required to fit a tightly integrated system
- Designs and implements projects requiring systems integration, small teams and multiple technical platforms
- Assist in maturing governance process around data sharing platform
- Collaborates on driving improvement activities to achieve department and organizational goals
- Coordinates with functional team to assure consistency and optimization of overall work product
KEY EXPERIENCE
- Experience with visualization software such as Looker, Tableau, etc.
- Experience with Logic & Querying (SQL, BigQuery) to pull reports from BigQuery to find the “orphaned” data from ServiceNow upgrade
- Interoperability standards: basic understanding of healthcare data exchange (HL7, FHIR, or EDI) to accurately map "Data Elements" mentioned in a contract to actual fields in an API or interface.
- Data Governance Frameworks: familiarity with the concept of Data Provenance, knowing not just where data is, but its origin and the authority by which it is being shared.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred
- Experience working in Data Governance preferred
- General knowledge of hospital operations, cloud technologies (GCP), contracting, data sharing (HIEs, registries, etc.) the interrelationship of systems, and how technology enables business processes
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or other related major and 2 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
INTERVIEW PROCESS
- Quick turnaround: preliminary interview followed by team interview.
- Typically, one round with the hiring manager and team, possibly two rounds if needed.
