Description:
EY (Ernst & Young), a globally recognized professional services leader, is hiring a Manager for its Passthrough Transactions Group (PTG) within Business Tax Services. This role is designed for experienced tax professionals who are ready to work on complex partnership transactions, develop deep expertise in Subchapter K, and gain exposure to structuring large-scale deals for major clients.
The PTG team combines expertise in tax law, finance, economics, modeling, and federal income tax controversy to deliver innovative and value-driven solutions. As a Manager, you will not only oversee client engagements but also mentor and develop a team of tax professionals, while gaining extensive experience in structuring transactions and navigating joint venture complexities.
Collaborate with internal and external clients on complex partnership transactions.
Work closely with EY’s National Tax Department and subject matter experts on structuring large-scale deals.
Support clients with financial models for acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, and capital structure changes.
Evaluate economic and tax implications of alternative deal structures.
Prepare professional client presentations, reports, and documentation to support structuring analysis.
Manage multiple consulting projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality, time-sensitive service delivery.
Mentor, coach, and supervise tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring their professional growth.
Contribute to EY thought leadership by writing Tax Alerts, technical developments, and training courses.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, or Statistics.
Minimum 6 years of professional tax or consulting experience.
CPA license or membership in The Bar.
Broad exposure to federal income taxation with a strong focus on partnership taxation.
Strong technical writing, financial modeling, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when required.

Base Salary: $141,900 – $260,100 annually (NYC Metro, WA, and CA metro areas: $170,300 – $295,500).
Monthly Equivalent: $11,825 – $21,675 (standard) / $14,191 – $24,625 (higher metro range).
