• Work location: 2660 Scripture St, Denton, TX 76201 - This position requires travel to clinics in Denton, Frisco and Prosper
• Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM- but can vary based on business needs. Some of the clinics close at noon on Friday, so depending on the clinic assigned that week, there might be flexibility to leave earlier than 5pm some Fridays.

Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience within the last three years (required)
• Current Medical Assistant Certification (required)
• ACLS or BLS (preferred)
• NCT (preferred)

THPG Certified Medical Assistants are responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients, demonstrating excellent customer service while rooming patients, obtaining chief complaint and vitals, handling of specimens, charting visit information and performing injections as needed. You may also be responsible for some administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful CMA will:

• have the ability to perform EKGs, draw blood and administer injections as needed
• be able to effectively communicate with both staff and patients and have thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations
• demonstrate sound judgement in emergency situations, as well as take appropriate action in urgent circumstances
• maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
• possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
• have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
