Chief Financial Officer

Our client, a growing reputable employer in the Austin area and an industry leader, has an immediate opening for a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO is a key member of the senior management team, and contributor to the strategic and tactical planning for the Company. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO is accountable for the administrative, financial, human resource and risk management operations of the company. This includes: 1) accounting for work in progress, 2) development of a financial and operational strategy and metrics tied to that strategy, and 3) the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Principal accountabilities include: planning, operations, financial information, risk management, funding and third parties.

Desired Skills and Experience

• CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Master's degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience. Some experience in operations a plus but not required.
• Experience partnering with a CEO and senior management.
• Expertise in working with and developing relationships with third party partners, ie investment bankers and investors.
• High level of written and oral communication skills.
