Description:

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Operating Officer (COO) provides leadership, supervision, and expertise for quality and operational effectiveness across all Educational Health Center of Wyoming (EHCW) clinics. The COO evaluates and optimizes the resource utilization of each clinic in attaining an environment where our patients can access care, be valued, and thrive. The COO coordinates with the CFO and CMO as well as on-site medical leadership to ensure the clinics provide a quality healthcare service with the support of the clinical support teams.

The COO is responsible for the achievement of strategic priorities of the organization and further opportunities that can enhance EHCW’s ability to provide healthcare services. The COO provides administrative and operational leadership for the clinics while working closely with the CEO, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to ensure organizational sustainability. The COO will be located within the UW Family Medicine clinic in Cheyenne, WY.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership and supervision for all EHCW clinics. Oversee, support, and assist the Clinic Directors at all clinic locations and promote a culture of collaboration between them.

Participate in development of EHCW strategic plan with CEO and other leaders.

Oversee, support, and assist the Clinic Directors at all clinic locations and promotes a culture of collaboration between the different clinic locations.

Oversee space utilization and remodeling efforts in all clinics.

Assists in operational policy development with other EHCW leaders.

Develop staffing plans and job descriptions as appropriate.

Ensures compliance with all appropriate state, federal, and local laws, and regulatory requirements for a 330(e) funded community health center.

Assists the CEO and CFO develop clinic budgets for each individual clinic as well as the EHCW.

Supports continuous quality improvement for clinic flow processes with clinical counterparts.

Provide conflict resolution, employee and patient complaint investigation and provide appropriate action.

In conjunction with clinic leadership, oversee interviewing, hiring, terminating, evaluating, disciplinary measures, policy development and implementation for non-clinical staff.

Works in coordination with C-suite officers and Clinical Directors to ensure excellent patient care and access, balanced with high quality medical education.

Participates in leadership team meetings that support the strategic and tactical direction of the health center.
