The Evanston center features exceptional facilities including a rooftop playground, art studio, STEM lab, indoor movement areas, and a Smart Board, providing rich learning experiences for children. Teachers will work with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children, creating engaging hands-on activities that foster social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver interactive, developmentally appropriate activities tailored to children’s needs and interests

  • Maintain strong communication with parents, sharing daily updates and milestones

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment by following established safety and hygiene protocols

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement an engaging curriculum that supports holistic child development

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED

  • One year of relevant teaching experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of child development principles (DAP)

  • Must meet one of the following Illinois Teacher Qualification criteria:

    • 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of accredited college coursework with 6 semester hours in child care/development

    • 1 year (1560 hours) of experience in child development with 30 semester hours of college coursework including 6 semester hours in child care/development

    • Completion of CDA credential or other state-approved programs

Physical Requirements:
Employees must comply with all federal, state, local, and organizational health, safety, and immunization requirements. The role involves in-person work at the early education center, including supervision, care, and delivery of curriculum.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate: $19.75 – $24.10 (monthly approx. $3417 – $4167)
