Child Psychologist

 

Description:

Soar Autism Center is seeking a dedicated Child Psychologist to join its interdisciplinary team in Phoenix, AZ. The role is designed for professionals passionate about supporting young children with autism and their families through high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services. The position emphasizes continuity of care and integrated treatment planning across multiple services, including ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct approximately 5 diagnostic evaluations weekly (~28 billable hours/week) using standardized assessments (e.g., ADOS-2, DP-4, BASC-3, Vineland-3).

  • Develop and deliver individualized treatment recommendations to families.

  • Provide efficient clinical services, documentation, and reports.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary clinical team discussions as needed.

  • Support continuity of care for children receiving services post-evaluation.

  • Engage in optional projects including post-diagnosis processing groups, research, outreach, or trainee supervision (based on interest and expertise).


Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or related field.

  • Active (or eligible for) psychologist licensure in Arizona and Colorado (dual licensure strongly preferred).

  • Proficiency in autism evaluation and differential diagnosis for children aged 0–5 years.

  • Knowledge of effective autism treatment methods.

  • Ability to pass a background check and work in the United States.

  • Strong communication and consultation skills.

  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
