The Client Executive will set the strategy for major regional strategic accounts, typically managing a small number of large, multi-national companies. This role involves driving new business, managing a sales quota, and developing trusted advisor relationships with clients at the executive level.
Direct strategy and sales activities for large, strategic accounts.
Understand client business strategies, drivers, and initiatives, and translate them into Gartner selling opportunities.
Establish and maintain executive-level client relationships to become a trusted advisor.
Manage accounts to increase customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
Own quota responsibility aligned with specific strategic accounts.
Master and consistently execute Gartner’s internal sales methodology.
Plan and manage large account and territory management processes.
Maintain forecast accuracy monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Stay informed about competitive landscape and industry trends.
Manage fiscal responsibility including expense management.
Maintain deep knowledge of Gartner’s products and services.
10-15 years of successful consultative sales experience, preferably in high technology (services, software, or hardware).
Proven ability to prospect and manage relationships at C-level and senior executive levels within multi-national companies.
Strong intellectual capability, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
Demonstrated success in building strategic client relationships and providing valuable business insights.
Ability to understand enterprise-wide issues and structure integrated IT decision support solutions.
Comprehensive knowledge of technology buying centers and industry verticals relevant to territory.
Strong computer proficiency and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s or advanced degree is a plus.
Language skills as required by territory.
