Description:

The School of Teacher Education at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking experienced education administrators and teachers to join as part-time Clinical Adjunct Faculty. This role involves supervising elementary, early childhood, exceptional, secondary, and K-12 education student candidates during their formal internships at schools across Central Florida. The adjunct faculty member will provide guidance, observation, and professional feedback to student interns, ensuring high standards in teaching practice, classroom management, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Supervision & Mentorship: Oversee student interns at assigned district school sites during regular school hours.
✔ Observation & Evaluation: Conduct face-to-face, online, and remote lesson observations, gathering assessment data.
✔ Feedback & Support: Offer constructive feedback on teaching execution, subject knowledge, and professional conduct.
✔ Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between UCF and partner schools, fostering professional collaboration.
✔ Technology Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft, Adobe, Zoom, and Canvas for online supervision and evaluations.
✔ Record Keeping: Maintain accurate reports, conduct midpoint and final evaluations, and ensure internship compliance.
✔ Travel as Needed: Visit assigned school sites across Seminole, Orange, Osceola, Brevard, Volusia, and Lake counties.

Candidate Requirements:

✔ Master’s degree (or higher) in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, K-12 Reading Education, Early Childhood Education, Exceptional Student Education, K-8 Math/Science Education, or a closely related field.
✔ Minimum 3+ years of K-12 teaching experience (6+ years preferred).
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Experience mentoring student teachers or interns is highly preferred.
✔ Experience with online teaching and familiarity with Canvas LMS is a plus.
✔ Reliable transportation and access to current technology for remote supervision.
✔ Reading & ESOL Endorsements (preferred).
