The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) is seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse II for its Towson, MD facility. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to patients based on solid clinical skills and evidence-based practices.

• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for other nurses and healthcare team members.

• Apply advanced knowledge and clinical judgment in critical and intensive care scenarios.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate and implement patient-centered care plans.

• Function in specialized roles as required by the unit (e.g., arrest team for ICU, triage for ED).

• Advocate for patient and family needs, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.

• Maintain adherence to all safety, quality, and operational protocols to provide timely and equitable care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland or eligibility under Compact state agreements (as per MD Board of Nursing).

• Minimum 12 months of nursing experience with strong clinical and decision-making skills.

• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Must meet all unit-specific certification requirements, such as PALS, ACLS, and NRP (if applicable).

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $34.50/hr – $53.55/hr (based on experience and qualifications).
