Clinical Nurse

Description:

The Project Estimator will support the bidding process by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. The role requires understanding construction contracts, reading plans, reviewing bid requirements, and collaborating with subcontractors. Creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to propose innovative solutions are vital. The Estimator helps develop cost models, budgets, and proposals while ensuring quality and adherence to established processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive and accurate project cost and schedule estimates

• Identify and recommend alternative designs or scope modifications

• Interpret contract terms and identify discrepancies

• Review scopes of work and obtain subcontractor bids

• Estimate quantities and project requirements

• Prepare conceptual cost models, budgets, and guaranteed maximum pricing

• Document cost and schedule details and assemble proposal packages

• Maintain estimating quality standards

• Gather and maintain current market data on construction costs

• Identify opportunities to improve estimating outcomes

Qualifications:

• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Outlook

• Degree in construction management or engineering preferred

• Some estimating experience preferred
