Clinical Nurse Educator

Description:

Momentum Life Sciences is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (Field & Virtual), Neurology to support patients and healthcare professionals in the Washington D.C. area. This hybrid role involves both in-person and virtual engagements, leveraging clinical expertise to educate and empower patients with narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia who are prescribed an oral therapy. The educator will also collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient confidence, adherence, and outcomes throughout the treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-approved clinical training and education programs to patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and physician office staff.

• Encourage patient initiation and adherence to prescribed therapies, providing ongoing support aligned with individual patient goals.

• Explain therapy-related information and guide patients/caregivers toward resources such as support groups, specialty pharmacies, HUB services, financial assistance, and other support programs.

• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, office staff, and other educators to expand awareness and demand for educator services.

• Collaborate with client field teams to identify educational opportunities within accounts and support HCP education using approved materials.

• Provide insights into curriculum improvement, innovative education strategies, and industry developments.

• Ensure all educational activities and interactions comply with VMS, client, and industry rules and regulations.

• Support patient outcomes through effective communication, tailored educational interventions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in nursing with at least 3 years of patient education experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

• RN or NP license required; valid driver’s license mandatory.

• Pharmaceutical industry experience (direct employment or contracting).

• Background in neurological conditions or rare diseases preferred.

• Strong presentation and training skills for both in-person and virtual settings.

• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, evolving business needs and therapeutic landscapes.

• Competency in Microsoft Office, video platforms, and technology for remote education.

• Must be eligible to participate in federal healthcare programs.

• COVID-19 vaccination may be required for credentialing purposes.

Travel & Work Conditions:

• Weekly overnight travel may be required (1–2 nights on average per week).

• Must provide reliable personal transportation.

• Role involves both sedentary office work and field-based responsibilities, with occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
