Description:

MarinHealth, a growing integrated and independent healthcare system affiliated with UCSF Health, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Clinical Support Associate to join its Pre-Admission Center on a full-time basis. This role is a critical part of the perioperative support team within MarinHealth Medical Center, a 327-bed facility serving Marin, Sonoma, and Napa Counties.

In this position, the Clinical Support Associate will support surgical services by managing the flow of clinical data, scheduling preoperative education sessions, and preparing patient records for surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with solid organizational skills, able to function effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing faxed documents across all hospital surgical services.

  • Scheduling patient education appointments for preoperative RN screenings.

  • Organizing, tracking, and routing clinical data necessary for surgical procedures.

  • Preparing patient charts according to procedure type and surgical location ahead of patient arrival.

  • Supporting the department independently while maintaining accuracy and compliance with due dates.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare, hospital, or medical setting.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Prerequisite Skills:

  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

  • Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills (Windows environment).

  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication abilities.

  • Strong ability to multitask, work independently, and manage deadlines.

  • Professionalism when interacting with patients, families, staff, and medical personnel.

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized under pressure.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly wage ranges from $29.86 to $41.81.

  • Full-time (8-hour day shifts), 40 hours per week.
