College Laboratory Assistant

Description:

To assist physical therapist assistant (PTA) instructors and students in the classroom, clinic, and lab settings; to assist the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education (ACCE) with the clinical education process; to coordinate the day-to-day operation of the on-campus physical therapy clinic; to provide individual assistance to PTA students having difficulties in coursework or lab skills, to provide input to instructors regarding instructional materials and student progress; and to demonstrate professional behaviors for PTA students. Coordinate appointments for the massage therapy clinics.

Minimum Qualifications

• Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree or relevant licensure in Physical Therapy OR
• 2 years of work experience in Physical Therapy where no degree/certificate/diploma/licensure is required OR
• An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with persons from diverse backgrounds, and commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives.
