A highly regarded national law firm is looking for an accomplished commercial litigation associate to join its Chicago practice. This opportunity is geared toward attorneys in approximately the 2021–2022 class years with substantial experience handling sophisticated business disputes in Illinois state and federal courts.
 
The successful candidate will bring experience with:
• Developing and executing litigation strategy
• Managing written and document discovery
• Drafting complex pleadings and dispositive motions
• Taking and defending depositions
• Preparing witnesses for testimony
• Court appearances, conferences, and motion arguments
• Client and case-team management
 
The role provides an opportunity to take real ownership of significant matters, work directly with partners and clients, guide junior attorneys, and become increasingly involved in case leadership.
 
Strong writing and oral advocacy skills are essential, along with sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to operate effectively in a demanding but collaborative environment. Top academic credentials and active Illinois Bar membership are required.
