Commercial Relationship Specialist

 

Description:

In this role, you will support the Commercial Banking team by coordinating loan closings, managing portfolio activities, and delivering exceptional service to business clients. You’ll help ensure accurate documentation, strong risk management practices, and smooth day-to-day operations. This position offers valuable exposure to commercial lending, systems, and customer relationships—providing a strong foundation for career growth.

Key Accountabilities
 

  • Coordinate loan closings by preparing, reviewing, and organizing all required documentation in partnership with internal teams, outside counsel, and clients.
  • Manage ongoing portfolio and collateral administration by processing transactions, reviewing financial reporting, and maintaining accurate data across internal systems.
  • Analyze collateral and financial information to validate accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and support effective risk monitoring.
  • Support clients by addressing complex inquiries, resolving service issues, and liaising with operations, fraud, and wire teams as needed.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to ensure adherence to credit policies, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across support departments to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
  • Participate in training, development activities, and team projects to strengthen skills and contribute to continuous improvement.
     

Required

Education & Experience
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years banking or office experience with knowledge of banking products, services, and loan documentation
     

Preferred
 

  • Experience with commercial loan documentation, monitoring, and closing
  • Experience with internal systems such as Ambit, CoreBank, SalesPro, or Stucky
