Commercial Truck Driver

Description:

Clean Harbors in Denver, CO, is hiring a Class A CDL Driver to operate heavy and light-duty trucks, including vacuum trucks, guzzlers, and primarily roll-offs at customer sites. This role involves driving and performing non-driving duties related to hazardous waste cleanup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all safety policies and processes.

• Operate a variety of Class A commercial trucks and assist field laborers in a team environment.

• Load and unload trucks safely.

• Perform manual labor onsite to meet customer needs.

• Ensure proper placarding of vehicles according to Company and DOT regulations.

• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and required reports.

• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.

• Safely operate vehicles per U.S. DOT and corporate guidelines.

• Observe all environmental health and safety procedures.

• Respond to emergency calls on a rotating on-call basis, when applicable.

• Participate in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling, as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL license.

• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.

• Ability to use mobile devices.

• Meet physical job requirements.

• Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical.

• Compliance with OSHA Respiratory Protection facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous commercial driving experience.

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

• Experience handling hazardous materials.

• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.

• Prior manual labor experience.
