Milwaukee Electronics, a trusted name in electronic manufacturing solutions for over 70 years, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Systems Specialist to join its on-site team in Milwaukee, WI. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across operations.

Serve as the site lead for compliance-related activities, including Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), customer complaints, product returns, internal and external audits, and nonconformance management.
Act as the site administrator for QMS documentation and electronic systems, ensuring controlled access, version accuracy, and full traceability.
Oversee document control and training processes, including IPC-A-610 certification tracking for operators and inspectors.
Develop and maintain training materials aligned with IPC-A-610 standards; coordinate initial, refresher, and remedial training sessions.
Deliver hands-on workmanship training and compliance coaching on the production floor to reinforce IPC and quality requirements.
Support ongoing improvement of the Quality System in alignment with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific standards.
Participate in and support internal audits, customer audits, and third-party assessments.
Facilitate timely resolution of quality issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, adhering to all workplace and regulatory safety requirements.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or engineering field preferred (relevant work experience may substitute).
1–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Compliance within a regulated industry (electronics, aerospace, or defense preferred).
Hands-on experience with IPC-A-610 standards and training processes highly valued.
Experience using electronic QMS platforms preferred.
Familiarity with electronic components, PCB assembly processes, and rework/repair per IPC standards.
Internal auditing experience beneficial but not mandatory.
Certified IPC-A-610 Trainer (CIT) preferred; training and certification will be provided if not already held.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and influence employees at all levels.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret quality metrics and support process improvements using data-driven approaches.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure compliance with tight deadlines.
Work involves both office and production floor environments.
Moderate noise levels; PPE required in specific areas.
Regular activities include standing, walking, sitting, talking, and handling small components.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Must comply with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). Applicants must be U.S. persons (citizens, nationals, permanent residents, or granted asylum/refugee status).
