Description:
The Walsh Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to join their Southern California Water Division. The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing various aspects of construction project execution, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and seamless coordination among project teams, subcontractors, and vendors. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity, and will play a key role in achieving project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage document control including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and claims.
Assist and support project teams in daily project coordination activities.
Oversee procurement of construction materials.
Conduct Quality Control/Quality Assurance checks.
Coordinate with subcontractors and survey teams for project layout.
Capture weekly progress photos for reporting purposes.
Manage construction equipment and enforce safety protocols.
Support project estimating and resource planning efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction or project management.
Previous internship, co-op, or employment in a similar role is an advantage.
Willingness to relocate may be required for specific roles.
