Summary of Role:

The Energy Consultant is the home buyer’s primary SunPower contact and serves in a sales/advisory role to customers and prospects. Candidates must be customer service-focused, understand their role in the sales process, and work well with the New Homes Builder Account Manager and builder customers. You will lead over the phone and present to potential customers on the benefits of solar. Candidates should be dynamic, highly organized, and able to multi-task, and have passion for sales/customer engagement. Energy Consultants are subject matter experts and provide guidance to homeowners on energy cost savings and understanding applicable utility rate plans. Energy Consultants support the customer experience and overall process. A successful Solar Consultant will have the skills necessary to complete tasks with focus and attention, see the larger strategic picture related to their role, continually refine processes/workflows, and create improved customer experiences.

 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Listen to homeowner needs while providing relevant feedback
  • Converse with homebuyers to gather information about their home buying status
  • Prepare proposals
  • Conduct online sales consultations with new home prospects
  • Effectively guide prospects through the sales channel and process
  • Captures customer-related data into SalesForce (CRM) and other IT platforms
  • Works with lead transfer and appointment process issues
  • Meet/exceed monthly quotas and service level agreements in a fast-paced environment
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the solar industry and SunPower products
  • Be available to work outside of standard business hours
