Akerman LLP, a premier U.S. law firm recognized for its innovation, diversity, and legal excellence, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney for its Consumer Financial Services, Data & Technology Practice Group in the Dallas office. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer to work within one of the nation’s most prestigious firms, advising financial institutions and technology-focused clients on critical litigation and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle commercial litigation cases within the Consumer Financial Services, Data & Technology practice area.

• Represent clients in both federal and state courts.

• Conduct comprehensive legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents.

• Analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic recommendations to clients.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys, partners, and clients to deliver top-quality legal services.

• Contribute to firm-wide knowledge-sharing initiatives and thought leadership in the financial services and technology sectors.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

• Member of the State Bar of Texas.

• 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Federal and state court litigation experience (required).

• Prior experience in financial institutions litigation (preferred).
