Weber Shandwick, a leading global communications agency, is seeking a Consumer PR Intern for the Fall 2025 term to join their New York City team in a hybrid capacity. This full-time, paid internship offers recent graduates an exciting opportunity to work with some of the world’s most iconic consumer brands. The internship begins in September and runs through December, offering hands-on experience, mentorship, and the potential for future full-time employment.

Interns at Weber Shandwick are treated as valuable team members, participating actively in brainstorming sessions, campaign execution, and media outreach. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about PR, highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit a variety of communications materials including press releases and social media content

  • Conduct research on brands, market trends, and consumer behavior

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings

  • Assist with logistics for media events and product mailers

  • Build media lists and pitch stories to relevant media outlets

  • Monitor traditional and social media, compile reports, and provide strategic recommendations

  • Manage inventory, maintain the product closet, and coordinate shipments

Candidate Requirements:

  • College graduate by internship start date or with demonstrated transferrable skills

  • Availability to work 40 hours/week starting September 2025

  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and PR tools such as Cision, Muckrack, Meltwater, Talkwalker, etc.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent multitasking, time management, and attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
