Description:
We're seeking a manufacturing Controller. The candidate must have prior experience working within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- This role will be an influential communicator throughout the organization from ownership to line staff, customers and vendors.
- Regular collaboration with other company personnel in plant leadership teams, Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance and Accounting.
- Accuracy and timeliness of operational accounting
- Executing and leading the controlling function within the organization to control and analyze costs compared to forecasts and budgets with the objective of continuous improvement
- Provide support to develop and track additional cost savings opportunities and monitor progress of improvement initiatives
- Accounting for, planning and analysis of revenue and cost of goods sold, operating expenses, inventory valuation, capital expenditures and other key financial activity as needed.
- Analyzing and ensuring proper accounting for revenue, cost of goods sold, inventory and fixed assets in support of and collaboration with operational leaders and the accounting team
- Ensuring monthly close process is completed and accurate
- Analyze improvements to product costing, inventory valuations, inventory control and physical inventory processes
Qualifications
- Seeking at least 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing related accounting role, such as Controller or Senior Cost Accountant or similar
