Description:

Frontgrade Technologies, a leading provider of high-reliability, radiation-assured solutions for defense, space, and civil applications, is hiring a Sr. Corporate Buyer (Corporate Buyer IV) for its on-site location in Plainview, NY. This role is integral to the procurement function, focusing on the strategic sourcing and acquisition of goods and services necessary for critical missions—from space exploration and missile defense to healthcare tech.

The Sr. Corporate Buyer will engage in high-level purchasing functions, acting as a liaison between vendors, departments, and internal stakeholders. The role requires exceptional negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced procurement professionals who are passionate about advancing national security, technology, and innovation in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with department leaders to understand purchasing needs, timelines, and project scopes

• Source and procure materials and services in compliance with procurement policies

• Draft and negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring maximum value and compliance

• Evaluate vendor performance, ensuring adherence to quality and delivery standards

• Resolve disputes involving delivery, contract terms, and product/service quality

• Conduct life cycle costing, cost/benefit analyses, and commodity standardization studies

• Oversee contract administration, including renewals, terminations, and modifications

• Guide and coordinate the workflow of procurement projects with high implementation complexity

• Serve as a procurement advisor to internal departments and external partners

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management

  • OR 12 years of relevant experience without a degree

  • OR 6 years with a Master’s degree

  • OR 3 years with a PhD

• Experience: At least 8 years of experience in sourcing, vendor management, purchasing, and material management

• Strong cross-functional knowledge of supplier quality, engineering, and subcontract management

• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive procurement performance

• Knowledge of federal compliance standards, including ITAR and EAR regulations

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $84000 – $105000 per year (based on qualifications and experience)
