Corporate Controller

 

Description:

IFG US is currently partnering with a rapidly expanding company in the food and consumer products industry to hire a Corporate Controller. This high-impact leadership role is ideal for an experienced and strategic finance professional who excels in managing financial operations, particularly in inventory-driven environments.

As the Corporate Controller, you will lead a team across multiple entities, ensuring financial accuracy, GAAP/IFRS compliance, and actionable insights to support business growth. This position requires a balance of hands-on execution and strategic influence, making it perfect for a driven and detail-oriented financial leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with department leaders.

  • Oversee cost controls with a focus on cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory management to maximize margins.

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and oversee preparation of domestic and international tax filings.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.

  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure reporting accuracy.

  • Manage treasury functions including cash flow planning and working capital.

  • Provide strategic support on pricing models, capital investment decisions, and growth initiatives.

  • Lead and mentor a cross-border accounting team, encouraging professional development and collaboration.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting tools to support business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance.

  • At least 5 years in a leadership role with full-cycle accounting responsibility.

  • Prior experience in food and beverage manufacturing or closely related industries is required.

  • Deep expertise in inventory and cost accounting within manufacturing or product-based companies.

  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel as needed (1–2 weeks per month during the initial hybrid ramp-up period).
