Creative Designer

The Creative Designer will be responsible for designing and building engaging digital advertisements across a variety of channels such as T-Mobile’s Magenta Audience Network, Rideshare, CTV and DOOH. The designer should have an understanding of web and mobile design, and interactive graphic animation and be able to communicate design vision with strategic rationale. This Creative Designer should be skilled across the digital design and animation disciplines, and able to translate creative briefs into engaging executions. They will take responsibility in understanding internal and client briefs, how to work creatively within strict brand guidelines, and ensuring that all outputs meet the highest standard. They will work directly with our Sales and Customer Success teams, plus marketing/product marketing and other creative teams within our org. This role will understand the intersections between creative development, UX, composition, design, animation, and video as it pertains to the digital media landscape and strive to better deliver the best digital customer experience.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Graphic design: design and produce themed graphic elements to support frontline communications and training; work outputs include web, email, and printed resources.

  • Own the end to end creative executions for brand partners that meet all creative brief requirements, including quick-turn creative requests. Abide by our team processes and standard methodologies; including file naming, folder maintenance, and handoff, while maintaining tasks and agendas autonomously.

  • Present creative to team leads, business partners, collaborators, and creative leadership during creative reviews, communicating standard processes for design and reasoning behind creative decisions. Coordinate with other subject areas to ensure design is on brand and in line with expectations.

  • Guide, coach, and mentor junior team members, assist in providing feedback on lower priority/less complex projects, help with onboarding, and act as a SME on projects and campaigns.

  • Collaborate with, and assist in leading other members of the Creative Services team to develop creative concepts and new ad formats to drive future business based on market feedback.

  • Contribute to, and assist in leading, the creation and evolution of T-Ads internal resources and tools, such as confluence pages, training and onboarding manuals, and creative templates.

  • Owns, organizes, and lead meetings with key business partners to ensure successful relationships with cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and senior leadership to continuously evolve our process and resources.

  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED. (Required)

  • Bachelor's Degree in English or Creative Writing. Experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of degree.

 

Work Experience:

  • 6+ years of ad tech experience, specifically in a design role at an ad agency or in-house with formal design training and a strong portfolio. (Required)

  • Previous experience with web/social design. (Required)

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Collaboration and communication skills including the receiving, giving, and implementing of feedback.

  • Attention to detail and timeliness.

  • An understanding of digital design principles, current design trends, and industry standard processes.

  • Web Technologies such as HTML and style sheets. (Preferred)

  • Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.

  • Celtra/Craftsman+.

  • Atlassian Products. (Preferred)

  • Prototyping; Sketch, Adobe XD, Principle, Flinto, or other prototyping software. (Preferred)

  • JavaScript; coding languages such as HTML/CSS. (Preferred)
