Customer Engineering Intern

 

Description:

GlobalFoundries in Fab 8 Malta NY is looking for a motivated student to work with the Customer Engineering team. Primary responsibility of the role will be completing a project to support the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – First Time Proto Success and Customer Satisfaction – of the Customer Engineering organization.

Essential Responsibilities Include
 

  • Understanding the priorities of our customers as they bring new products to the factory.
  • Working collaboratively not only with the Customer Engineering team, but also other relevant internal stakeholders to gather information and gain understanding of customer landscape.
  • Identify areas for improvement in how we proactively address customer concerns.
  • Take ownership of project assigned and show initiative to gather required information and deliver desired outcome.
  • Gain overall understanding of semiconductor manufacturing facility and technology.
     

Other Responsibilities
 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
     

Required Qualifications
 

  • Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
