Description:

O’Reilly Auto Parts, a leader in the automotive aftermarket industry, is looking for a Parts Specialist to join their team in Granville, NY. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with customers and has a passion for automotive parts and services. The position combines customer-facing responsibilities with operational duties to ensure high-level service for both retail and installer clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service through O’Reilly’s programs such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, and Rock the Call.

  • Promptly and professionally greet walk-in customers, assist with product selection, and provide knowledgeable recommendations.

  • Support managers and installer service specialists in serving professional clients.

  • Provide accurate phone support by answering queries, quoting prices, and recommending premium and related products.

  • Operate the cash register efficiently, handle transactions, and maintain the security of the cash drawer.

  • Process returns and exchanges while maintaining a friendly, solution-oriented approach.

  • Assist in daily operational tasks like stocking shelves, receiving freight, maintaining displays, and preparing merchandise returns.

  • Perform vehicle-related services (where allowed) such as battery tests, headlight replacements, and code scanning.

  • Occasionally drive company vehicles for deliveries (must meet driving eligibility requirements).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Excellent multitasking and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented retail environment.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle alphanumeric data accurately.

  • Must be team-oriented and possess effective communication skills.

  • Willingness to complete company-provided training programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in automotive parts, cataloging, or retail service.

  • ASE certification.

  • Fluency in Spanish or other additional languages.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Pay: $15.50–$21.50 (commensurate with experience and responsibilities).
