Mastercard, a global leader in digital payments and financial technology, is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity Business Development for the East North America (NAM) region. This strategic leadership position is ideal for a highly driven and experienced team leader who can lead a high-performing sales team focused on cybersecurity solutions. The role is fully remote and based in New York, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work within a globally recognized organization.
As a People Manager, you will be responsible for developing, mentoring, and directing a team of cybersecurity field sales professionals to drive revenue growth and market penetration across the U.S. and Canada. You will play a critical role in aligning team efforts with Mastercard’s goals while maintaining a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day activities of the cybersecurity sales team
Motivate and guide the team to exceed sales targets and KPIs
Develop and implement strategic plans and sales timelines
Delegate responsibilities effectively and monitor progress
Provide ongoing training to enhance skills in product knowledge and communication
Conduct regular performance reviews (quarterly, mid-year, annual)
Foster a collaborative and goal-oriented team environment
Create and maintain a healthy work culture that inspires productivity
Handle conflict resolution and listen to team feedback to improve outcomes
Lead team-building initiatives and organize collaborative activities
Coordinate cross-departmentally and communicate with senior leadership
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience leading cybersecurity sales teams in a leadership capacity
Demonstrated success in delivering consistent sales growth
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to improve operational performance
Bachelor’s degree in management, cybersecurity, or a related field preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
High proficiency in digital tools and computer systems
Strong organizational and project management capabilities
Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple priorities
Willingness and availability for extensive travel across North America
Must demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and team-oriented leadership
