This is a full-time, on-site leadership role suited for highly experienced legal professionals who specialize in the intersection of law, technology, data privacy, and intellectual property (IP). The selected candidate will become a strategic member of a forward-thinking team that provides counsel to leading global corporations, financial institutions, tech platforms, and emerging startups on complex data and technology-related legal issues.

The successful candidate will be expected to offer cutting-edge legal guidance in a highly dynamic space that covers everything from product development and platform scaling to data compliance and commercialization. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal and strategic counsel to major clients on high-value technology and data transactions, including licensing, outsourcing, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and cloud infrastructure agreements.

• Lead negotiations and structure complex deals involving innovative technologies and proprietary data assets across various industries.

• Offer guidance on IP protection, technology commercialization strategies, and platform development while ensuring full regulatory compliance.

• Advise clients on data usage frameworks, cybersecurity risks, and the impact of evolving privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and other global data protection regimes.

• Collaborate with internal teams specializing in corporate law, finance, and compliance during M&A, private equity, and carve-out transactions that involve key tech and data components.

• Monitor and interpret emerging trends in technology regulation, data ethics, and security frameworks to provide proactive, forward-looking legal strategies.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.

• Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for California admission.

• Substantial experience at a top-tier law firm advising on high-stakes technology, IP, and data transactions.

• In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws, cloud services, software licensing, IP law, and digital platform agreements.

• Proven track record in business development and managing elite client relationships.

• Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills in cross-functional legal matters.
