Description:

TransPerfect’s DataForce division is recruiting Remote Data Contributors to participate in the Orchid Remote Audio Collection project, aimed at improving voice recognition technologies and virtual assistant performance by collecting audio recordings from African American voices to reduce bias and enhance inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record a total of 20 minutes of short prompts using an iPhone (model 11 or newer) with the DataForce Contribute app.

• Ensure recordings are completed indoors using the internal microphone (no external devices).

• Complete the task within the estimated 1-hour timeframe.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.

• Must self-identify as African American or African.

• Must reside in the United States (except Illinois, Washington, and Texas).

• Must be fluent in English.

• Must own an iPhone 11 or newer.

Compensation & Benefits:

• One-time payment: 30 USD upon completion.

• Flexible participation: Complete from home or any preferred indoor location within eligible US states.
