Description:

Global Strategy Group (GSG), a leading research, public affairs, and communications agency, is seeking a Data Elections Assistant to support the 2026 election cycle. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of business, politics, and causes, collaborating with a team of professionals who specialize in strategic communications, research, and public affairs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for data management, survey programming, fieldwork oversight, weighting, and analysis to support electoral and issue campaigns. Responsibilities include identifying and collecting data for survey quotas, pulling and managing stratified samples for phone and text-to-web surveys, programming and testing online surveys, building models to target and weight likely voters, and creating GIS-based maps.

You will oversee fieldwork for various survey modes, ensure data accuracy, and automate repeated processes using scripts and workflows. The role also involves background research and collaboration with internal teams to deliver high-quality survey deliverables that meet project standards and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, collect, and manage data for survey quotas

  • Pull, prepare, and manage stratified survey samples

  • Program and test online surveys

  • Build models to target and weight likely voters and audiences

  • Oversee survey fieldwork (online, phone, text-to-web)

  • Weight and process survey data to produce toplines and crosstabs

  • Automate repeated data processing tasks using scripts

  • Build maps using GIS software

  • Conduct background research and ensure data accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or C#

  • Experience handling large datasets (voter files, survey data, or consumer databases)

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Knowledge of survey platforms (Decipher, Qualtrics) is a plus

  • Background in statistics and survey methodology preferred

  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Motivated self-starter with flexibility and willingness to learn
