Data Engineer

Description:

Innova Solutions is urgently hiring for a Data Engineer to join a leading client based in Alpharetta, GA. This is a 6-month contract role requiring hybrid work (3 days onsite per week). The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in data engineering, distributed systems, Kafka, and backend programming with a focus on scalable ETL pipeline development.

The role provides the opportunity to engage in the full software development lifecycle — from gathering requirements to design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance — within a dynamic and collaborative team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop ETL pipelines using modern technologies to support enterprise-level data solutions.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-performance data processing systems.

• Develop solutions based on distributed systems architecture, with strong understanding of system design trade-offs.

• Write production-grade code and manage applications on Linux environments.

• Support existing data infrastructure and propose improvements where applicable.

• Communicate effectively with engineering, product, and analytics teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of overall application development experience.

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer using Kafka.

• Strong coding skills in at least one of: Python, Ruby, Java, C/C++, Go.

• Proficient with SQL and relational databases.

• Prior experience with Linux-based environments and command-line tools.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Ability to learn new technologies independently and adapt quickly to project needs.

Preferred (Optional) Skills:

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with Elasticsearch / ELK Stack.

Pay & Benefits:

💵 Pay Rate: $70/hr to $75/hr (based on experience and qualifications)
