Description:
Santander Bank, N.A., a global leader in financial services, is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Associate, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst to join its cybersecurity team. This critical role focuses on safeguarding sensitive information, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening the organization’s data protection framework.
The successful candidate will partner with business units and stakeholders to define DLP requirements and translate them into actionable rules and controls. As a subject matter expert in DLP, the analyst will provide guidance on policy design, testing, validation, and optimization to ensure effectiveness with minimal business disruption. Collaboration with Incident Response, monitoring teams, and other security functions will be essential to support investigations and resolve alerts.
The role demands both technical expertise and strong communication skills, requiring the ability to interpret DLP policy logic, analyze data, and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. The analyst will continuously evaluate evolving threats, update rulesets, and enhance DLP tool configurations in line with corporate policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and define DLP requirements across multiple business units.
Design, test, and validate DLP rules and policies.
Guide teams on DLP best practices and policy implementation.
Collaborate with Incident Response and monitoring teams to analyze alerts.
Maintain, enhance, and optimize DLP tools and configurations.
Monitor evolving threats and regulatory changes affecting data protection.
Provide clear communication and presentations to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field (or equivalent work experience).
5+ years in information security, IT audit, governance, or risk management.
5+ years of SAS experience.
Hands-on experience with Netskope and Microsoft Purview.
Strong technical aptitude with DLP policy design and logic.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience in regulated industries, preferably financial services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or CISA.
Familiarity with SIEM platforms and other information protection technologies.
Knowledge of privacy regulations such as GDPR and GLBA.
