Description:

Imperial Dade, a leading national distributor of foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join its dynamic team in Jersey City, NJ. The Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining advanced pricing models that directly influence high-impact business decisions. Working closely with a transformative new leader, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of revenue management strategy while collaborating with peer data scientists and cross-functional stakeholders.

The role requires strong analytical, statistical, and machine learning expertise, along with a proven ability to turn complex datasets into actionable business strategies. You will have the opportunity to drive measurable improvements in decision-making by identifying insights from large and diverse data sources, implementing machine learning solutions, and optimizing processes through experimentation and visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to uncover trends, insights, and patterns.

• Build, validate, and deploy machine learning models to solve business challenges.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

• Conduct A/B testing and experimental design to optimize processes and features.

• Create impactful visualizations and present technical findings in a clear, business-friendly manner.

• Ensure data quality, perform cleaning, and maintain data integrity across systems.

• Leverage cloud and big data tools to enhance analytical workflows.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in data science or advanced analytics roles.

• Strong proficiency in Python or R, with experience in libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc.

• Excellent SQL skills with experience handling large datasets.

• Expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and experimental analysis.

• Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn).

• Strong communication skills, capable of presenting technical insights to non-technical audiences.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
