Delivery Driver

Description:

FedEx is hiring a Driver / Operator to join their team and deliver excellent service while ensuring timely and safe delivery and pickup of packages. This role involves operating company vehicles, verifying shipment details, and providing courteous, customer-oriented service. The position requires a clean and professional appearance due to regular customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles for the delivery and pickup of packages

• Inspect shipments for compliance with FedEx’s features of service

• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid driver's license appropriate for the assigned vehicle

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unaided

• Ability to handle packages exceeding 50 lbs. using equipment or assistance

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Must meet FMCSA Section 391 safety qualifications

• Pass a medical examination as per FMCSA or FAA requirements

• Must maintain a constant state of alertness and safety awareness

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in delivery or logistics

• Professional demeanor and customer-service orientation

• Ability to work independently and maintain efficiency under pressure

Working Hours:

• Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly pay: $23.26 (~$4023.20 monthly)
