Delivery Specialist

Description:

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to join their team in Kansas City, MO. This role involves operating company vehicles to deliver automotive parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent service standards. The position also involves collecting payments for C.O.D. deliveries and managing customer returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers on time.

• Use fleet management handheld devices for deliveries, capturing signatures, updating mileage, and performing vehicle inspections.

• Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and secure at all times.

• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete return slips accurately.

• Communicate customer needs, problems, or feedback to store management.

• Report any maintenance issues, vehicle accidents, or damages promptly.

• Refuel and secure vehicles at the end of each business day.

• Perform additional in-store duties such as customer service, stocking, cashiering, merchandising, and general housekeeping when required.

• Adhere strictly to company timekeeping and delivery policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid state driver’s license meeting company’s eligibility requirements.

• Clean driving record as per the company’s 14/18-point record system.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to handle changing delivery conditions effectively.

• Capability to quickly recognize and match alphanumeric sequences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with automotive parts and store operations.

• Ability to operate light store equipment.

• Bilingual candidates (especially Spanish speakers) are highly encouraged to apply.
