The following bullets describe typical daily and weekly activities of this role:
- Use project management software to plan and execute tasks
- Use SolidWorks to design and refine products
- Build prototypes using a variety of tools - CNC, 3D Printers, common shop tools
- Test prototypes and products in our Test Lab
- Coordinate with engineering team members and subject matter experts to progress projects
Required Qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- At least 5 years experience in design engineering
- SolidWorks proficiency (or equivalent software)
- High mechanical aptitude and experience with shop and hand tools
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Ability to present to large groups and great interpersonal skills for cross functional collaboration
- Superb attention to detail, organized, and able to work under tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges
