Description:
Cleveland-Cliffs Inc., the largest flat-rolled steel company and leading iron ore pellet producer in North America, is seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Analyst to join its New Carlisle facility. This plant specializes in producing cold-rolled, hot-dipped galvanized, and galvannealed steel coils. The Desktop Support Analyst will play an integral role in supporting quality, production, and maintenance teams, ensuring seamless technology operations that directly impact organizational performance.
The role involves troubleshooting PC issues for end-users, including support for e-mail, Office 365, printers, PC hardware, and Windows systems. The analyst will be responsible for setting up Windows 11 using corporate images, basic network troubleshooting, and managing stock equipment. The position requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, while maintaining effective communication and problem-solving skills across multiple levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot PC-related issues including email, Office 365, printing, and hardware.
Install and configure Windows 11 PCs using corporate images.
Perform basic printer and network troubleshooting.
Support software installation and provide user documentation.
Manage and order stock equipment.
Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Quality, Finance, and IT teams to resolve issues.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, including imaging of computers.
Hands-on experience with Office 365.
Basic troubleshooting of printers and network issues.
Skilled in installation of PC software.
Ability to use Active Directory Users and Computers.
Effective multitasking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lift 10–20 pounds and climb stairs.
Interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with people.
Preferred Qualifications:
CompTIA A+ certification.
1–2 years of desktop support/help desk experience.
Familiarity with PowerShell.
