Desktop Support Specialist

 

Description:

Envision is actively seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to join its team in Dover, Delaware, for an on-site, full-time role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering hands-on technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, configuring devices, and maintaining workstations and peripherals in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, software, and network issues.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based systems and enterprise applications.

  • Set up new user accounts, perform password resets, and ensure access to network resources.

  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure the smooth functioning of all office systems.

  • Maintain asset inventory and manage hardware replacement cycles.

  • Respond to support tickets and service requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assist with system imaging, software deployment, and patch management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and remote support tools.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and basic network troubleshooting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with both technical and non-technical staff.

  • Certification such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP or similar is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.
