Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the Museum, Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, Glassell School of Art and Rienzi Annual Fund Drives in the implementation of the solicitation process, including donor acquisitions and renewals
  • Coordinate the preparation and mailing of all Annual Fund Drive materials, including cleaning mailing lists, identifying special cases, mail-merging, printing, and stuffing, as well as scheduling volunteers and coordinating with the mail house to fulfill mailings
  • Process and track Annual Fund Drive revenue and expenditures and keep inventory of mailing materials
  • Create and track the overall Annual Fund Drives schedule
  • Generate comprehensive Annual Fund Drive giving reports for internal use and donor listings for MFAH webpages and publications
  • Produce Leadership Circle fulfillment packages, event invitations, and other stewardship mailings
  • Assist in the drafting of donor letters and creation of AFD-related materials, working with Graphics and other departments as needed
  • Assist VIP donors by phone and in person with confidential giving history information and stewardship fulfillment
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of donor benefits and stewardship activities
  • Provide on-site support at development events specific to the Annual Campaigns and at fundraising events as needed
  • In addition to assisting the Senior Development Officer in carrying out responsibilities related to the Annual Fund Drives, provide support for the Core Salon in solicitation, renewal, and stewardship processes, and for the Rienzi Garden Endowment Campaign, in creating materials, maintaining the schedule, and coordinating solicitation and fulfillment mailings

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Excellent administrative, organizational, analytical and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and ensure accuracy through meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to perform tasks with light supervision
  • Ability to effectively and courteously collaborate and communicate with a wide range of museum staff and museum donors
  • Sound judgment and discretion in the handling of confidential matters
  • A strong interest in the arts and the ability to think creatively
  • Availability to work some evening and weekend hours to provide on-site support for events
