Description:

The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) is seeking a strategic and data-driven Manager, Prospect Research & Development Operations to strengthen and diversify its funding streams. The role is pivotal to GEAPP’s mission of accelerating clean energy access and climate progress across developing countries. This position plays a central role in identifying new funding opportunities, conducting rigorous donor research, managing CRM operations, and supporting donor engagement efforts to fuel GEAPP’s international climate and energy programs.

GEAPP is backed by globally recognized philanthropic institutions such as the IKEA Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, and the Bezos Earth Fund. Its mission by 2030 is to deliver clean energy access to one billion people, enable 150 million green jobs, and cut 4 gigatons of carbon emissions — making this role a high-impact opportunity in the global sustainability landscape.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth prospect research across corporate, institutional, and individual sources to develop and maintain a dynamic funding pipeline.

  • Collaborate with internal fundraising teams to develop strategic engagement plans for foundations, governments, corporations, and individual donors.

  • Manage the entire prospect lifecycle within GEAPP’s Salesforce CRM—tracking, reporting, and evaluating engagement activity across the Partnerships team.

  • Oversee and streamline the gift acknowledgment process while coordinating closely with finance to reconcile development data.

  • Maintain and improve data integrity within Salesforce, translating research into strategic donor insights and development intelligence.

  • Develop and present weekly pipeline reports and dashboards to senior leadership; contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Research and assess open philanthropy and partnership trends aligned with GEAPP’s strategic priorities.

  • Conduct light business development tracking to monitor trends and build new partnership pathways.


Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in development with a core focus on prospect research and donor data analytics.

  • Advanced project management skills and the ability to work independently across multiple deadlines in a fast-paced global organization.

  • Strong familiarity with research platforms like DonorSearch, RelSci, Wealth Engine, and Foundation Directory Online.

  • High ethical standards and sound judgment when handling confidential donor and funder information.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $110,000–$125,000 per year.

  • Approximate monthly salary: $9167–$10417.

  • 28 days of paid annual leave + organization-wide year-end holiday closure.

  • 401(k) with 10% employer contribution.

  • $100 monthly transportation benefit and $1000 annually for home office expenses.

  • Hybrid work schedule (2 days/week in office) with flexibility in either New York City or Washington, DC offices.
